Mitutoyo Corporation, headquartered in Kawasaki Japan, was founded in 1934 and is today the Number One company in the metrology field. Mitutoyo is a world leader in metrology with production of Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM:s) and precision measuring instruments. This cooperation promises mutual benefits, exposing Nextec to new markets and applications. Mitutoyo is now able to offer this solution to new customers who have 3D scanning requirements and metrology challenges. The first introduction of the WIZprobe integrated on a Mitutoyo CMM took place at the JIMTOF Show in Japan in November 2000, and resulted an interest of customers from different industries. At the Control Exhibition 2002 in Sinsheim Germany, Mitutoyo exhibited the NEW WIZprobe at its stand. The NEW WIZprobe is small in size, integrated with Renishaw Tool Changer ACR-3, has a standard PH-10 interface - AUTOJOINT connection and can be easily fitted onto the CMM.
Nextec announces the recent cooperation with Brown & Sharpe DEA under which the two companies will work together to integrate Nextec's new Hawk Kit onto B&S DEA Coordinate Measurement Machines

Brown & Sharpe DEA which is part of the Hexagon business area Metrology, is a world leading player in metrology with production of coordinate measurement machines (CMM:s) and hand tools within 7 manufacturing facilities all over the world. Extensive aftermarket services are fulfilled by 28 regional so called Precision Centres with responsibility for upgrade of machines and software, education, contracted maintenance and other services. This cooperation promises mutual benefits, exposing Nextec to new markets and applications and strengthens its sales force. With the Hawk Kit installed onto its CMM, Brown & Sharpe is able to offer this solution to otherwise unattainable customers. The first introduction of the Hawk Kit with Brown & Sharpe CMM took place at the EMO show in Hannover, Germany in September 2001, and resulted in a series of interest of customers from different industries . The cooperation continued at the Brown & Sharpe Open House in Turin , October 2001 , Control Exhibition 2002 in Sinsheim Germany, and Die & Mould Exhibition 2002 in Shanghai, May 2002 where the Global 777 mounted with Nextec's Hawk Kit was launched successfully and aroused much interest. We expect this cooperation to continue promoting both companies. This partnership yields mutual benefits, exposing Nextec to new markets and applications and strengthens is sales force. With the Hawk Kit installed onto its CMM, Coord3 is able to offer this solution to otherwise unattainable customers. The first introduction of the Hawk Kit with Coord3 CMM took place at the CIMT show in China, April 2001, and resulted in a series of sales for customers from different industries in Asia and the Far East. The cooperation continued at the Quality Expo show in Chicago, Control Exhibition in Sinsheim, and EMO exhibition in Hannover, where the Large Hawk Family of products and Hawk Kit were launched successfully and aroused much interest.
